Beach Fun and Games
Bored of reading and sunbathing? We have pulled together some simple and fun games for the beach guaranteed to keep everyone happy, any time of year
North Wales, Anglesey and Snowdonia have a fabulous choice of sandy and pebbly beaches including Abersoch, Aberdovey, Lligwy, Beaumaris, Llandudno, Barmouth, Criccieth and Harlech, to name just a few.
Making sandcastles is great fun (plus sand boats, benches and of course a sand snowman) and we have pulled together some new ideas to keep everyone entertained :
Sand Noughts and Crosses - two sticks is all you need, or use pebbles/shells
Sand Pictionary - split into 2 teams, think of a subject, get a stick and draw away, other players in the team try and guess what it is. Then erase and start again
Beach Mini Golf - create your own mini golf course using sand and beach objects, buy a cheap plastic golf set or improvise with a round pebble and sticks. Add obstacles, curves, hills and (if you’re brave) tunnels
Sea Creatures - get a net and a bucket with some water and see who you can find in the rock pools. Try and identify what they are then liberate them back into the sea
Throwing Olympics - see who can throw the furthest - from a flip flop to a pebble, just make sure no one is in the way. Simple but fun
Beach Cricket, Beach Volleyball and Beach Rounders - whatever your ability these provide endless fun for all the family, and are great exercise before a well earned ice cream.
We have a wide selection of coastal holiday cottages and self catering rentals by the beach in Snowdonia and North Wales, so find your holiday now.
