Written by Flagship Holiday Homes Team on

For many of us our dog is part of the family and wants to be included on the holiday and many of our holiday cottages welcome dogs with well behaved owners - so we have listed some of our favourite dog friendly days out, beaches and attractions which also welcome dogs in Snowdonia & North Wales.

Our collection of holiday cottages which welcome dogs provide a luxury haven for owners and dogs alike. And with so many mountains, rivers and beaches to explore, what more do you need ?

Get out and get active - grab some fresh air and a bit of exercise on your Snowdonia holiday, there’s no better place for your next adventure! Snowdonia National Park is perfect for exploring with your furry friend, this is just a small selection of dog friendly attractions:

Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway - travel through the Snowdonia National Park in steam driven style, dogs welcome, a fare of £3 applies

Betws y Coed - a popular Snowdonia town where many shops welcome dogs, the train station is dog friendly and the river is perfect for dogs to swim

Llandudno Tramway - take a ride up the Great Orme and admire the view, have and ice cream and admire this lovely Victorian resort, dogs welcome on leads

Snowdonia Beaches and The Wales Coast Path- Most beaches are very dog friendly though some have restrictions during the peak season

We would like to politely remind dog owners to be responsible when out and about and use leads at all times where requested and where there is livestock about, as well as cleaning up after your dogs. Never be without poop bags and consider the Countryside Code.
